Flower Heart
The Victorian interest in botany went hand in hand with the Victorian interest in the language of flowers. At a time when many feelings were discouraged and repressed, flowers were sent singly or in complicated arrangements to communicate.
From the book “Alphabet of Floral Emblems”, a few interesting ones I picked out:
