Flower Heart

The Victorian interest in botany went hand in hand with the Victorian interest in the language of flowers. At a time when many feelings were discouraged and repressed, flowers were sent singly or in complicated arrangements to communicate.
From the book “Alphabet of Floral Emblems”, a few interesting ones I picked out:

Rose = love
Deep red rose = bashful shame
Yellow acacia = secret love
Sweet Basil = hatred
White catchfly = betrayed
Arkansa = love at first sight
Asphodel = my regrets follow you to the grave
Nightshade = sorcery, witchcraft, dark thoughts

The pendant measures approx 40mm (1 1/2″) high from the top of the heart to the bottom of the amethyst gemstone and 28mm (1″) wide. It comes with a
