I love the story behind swallow tattoos, back in the day sailors would only be allowed to wear a swallow tattoo once they’d successfully sailed across the sea.

Swallows are a migrating bird that return home annually. Sailors believed swallows would return their soul back home should anything happen to them at sea.

The painted pendant is made from copper and has numerous layers of enamel glass that is kiln fired at 800 degrees celsius. Frida has been hand painted and fired several times to give a glossy finish. The setting is made from sterling silver and comes with a 45cm /18″ sterling chain.

The pendant measures approx 45mm and 34mm.
